Guest WiFi v2 - Unifi Controller

Setting Up a Guest WiFi Network with External Portal on a Unifi Controller


1. Navigate to your Unifi Controller. Note, it must be always online and reachable via the internet.

2. Go to the Settings Page

3. Click "WiFi"

4. Click Wi-Fi. Then create a new.

5. Click the "Name" field.

6. Put in a guest Wi-Fi name.

7. Click "Manual" next to Advanced

8. Select hotspot portal and apply any other settings that may be needed for this particular Wifi network.

9. Click add Wi-Fi network.

10. Then. Go back to the guest Wi-Fi you just created

11. Click on the link for the hotspot portal that appears. Note to get to this link without navigating through this shortcut is via Insights > Hotspot > Settings

12. It'll take you to the hotspot portal configuration page. Click on authentication.

13. Select one-way methods.

14. In the IP address. Enter this IP address: 13.54.236.37

15. Click save.

16. Go to settings.

17. Make sure you have show landing page enabled

18. Click "HTTPs Redirection Support"

19. Turn off encrypted URL.

20. Check Secure Portal

21. Check Domain

22. Enter this domain: wifi-sync.unipos.com.au

23. Hit save.
