This is a frustrating problem but is usually a very easy fix.
9/10 the problem is that the iPads are not connecting to the correct WiFi ID.
Symptoms:
- Are all the printers not working or just one?
If all the printers have stopped working, it's likely a network problem. If one printer has stopped working, then it can be that the printer is out of paper, the ethernet connection has been disconnected or the paper-cutter is jammed.
See Networking Troubleshooting
- Are there any error lights on any of the printers?
- If there is an "Paper out" light, replace the printer roll with the correct printer roll.
You can buy printer rolls from https://unipos.com.au/shop
Kitchen printers need Bond paper where as receipt printers (TM-82ii) require 80x80mm thermal printer rolls. Thermal paper feels smooth compared to bond paper which is rough. - If there is a blinking Error light, there may be a serious hardware failure which needs to be replaced. If the device is in warranty the Manufacturer will replace or fix the unit for no cost however any time used to replace and re-configure the device will encore a service fee from UniPOS.
